Where the yield comes from

Originators, the fintechs and credit companies that lend to people and small businesses, grow faster than their funding, so they pay for secured capital, and Debita's layer turns that payment into your income.

Demand for credit from people and small businesses grows faster than the bank funding available to the companies that serve them, which is why those companies pay for reliable, secured funding.

Originators pay to close this gap, and that payment is the source of the yield on your note.

How investing with Debita works

Your investment follows four steps, from the note you subscribe to the income you receive every month and the capital you get back at the end of the term.

The note is issued by an independent securitization vehicle set up under Luxembourg's 2004 securitization law, and your capital is spread across several eligible originators.

We only work with top-tier originators

They are established businesses that have been lending for years, and each one goes through months of analysis and due diligence before our Risk Committee approves it.

01

Years of lending

Fintechs and credit companies with a long record of lending to people and small businesses, and the full history of loans and repayments to prove it.

02

Months of due diligence

We review the loan data, collections, systems, governance and legal structure of each originator before any capital is committed.

03

Approved by our Risk Committee

Each originator is approved by our Risk Committee before it can receive capital, and Glasstape monitors it from that moment on.

Your investment, from the inside

What you own, who looks after it, what happens if something goes wrong, and how you're paid every month.

  1. You own one senior note, paid monthly in USD, EUR or stablecoins.

Behind it sit many small, short loans from several originators, each with a cap.

Every loan is checked: its terms, and every payment it makes.

  2. Originators make the loans and keep their clients, and the loans behind your note are out of their reach.

A trustee holds those loans, and every repayment goes to the structure's account.

Glasstape checks every loan and every payment against that account.

An independent administrator runs the vehicle behind your note, an auditor reviews its accounts and our Risk Committee approves each originator.

  3. If an originator goes bust, its creditors can't reach the loans. They stay with the trustee.

If clients stop paying, late loans stop counting. There are more loans behind your money than you lent, and the originator takes the first losses.

If cash goes astray: repayments never pass through the originator. They go to the structure's account.

If one originator fails, the rest of your note doesn't depend on it: it's spread across several originators.

  4. During the month, clients repay and the money reaches the structure's account within days.

Every payment is checked before anything moves on.

At the end of the month, you're paid in USD, EUR or stablecoins.

Glasstape

Glasstape checks every loan and every payment behind your note

Glasstape, Debita's monitoring platform, receives the data of every loan from the originator's system, checks each loan against the rules and each payment against the structure's account, and uses AI to flag what needs a closer look.
